| Casey Sheehan
was a patriot.
Casey volunteered to join the U.S. Military. Like all
volunteers he made the decision of his own free will. He was an adult
and he knew what he was getting into when he agreed to join. Casey joined to
serve his country. He joined to protect our freedom. Casey Sheehan died in
Iraq while he was doing the job he agreed to do. I am sorry that he died but
I am thankful that patriots like Casey volunteer to do a the very necessary
job of
fighting and yes sometimes dying to
protect our country.
Cindy Sheehan has every right to bitter and
angry about
the death of her son. But Cindy Sheehan is blaming the wrong people for her
son's death. George Bush did not kill her son, terrorists did. Terrorist
insurgents determined to derail the democratization of Iraq were completely
responsible.

Our freedom to live, work and protest are protected and
preserved by the victories and sacrifices made by the U.S. Military and the
soldiers. Cindy Sheehan stated that "America was not worth fighting for."
Cindy Sheehan and her
cohorts fail to recognize that if
they were living
under the rule of the Taliban or the regime of Saddam Hussein,
they would
have absolutely no right to protest. As
dissenters
they
would have been
imprisoned and tortured or shot. Would Cindy Sheehan deny the freedoms that
she enjoys to the
people of Iraq?
Casey Sheehan gave his life to give the gift of
freedom to
the
people of Iraq. Casey Sheehan died to preserve the freedom of all
Americans including his mother Cindy. Casey Sheehan was a hero. Maybe
someday in the future when the anger and resentment fades his mother will
find some consolation in that fact Casey died fighting for her.
